I notice they hardly get used and only the domain of advertisers ?
Can you open them up to everyone and perhaps the advertisers can be on top
No advertising or shitfighting just topical reflections etc
Other websites do it
Thanks
Megan

@Megan, you have the potential to start WW3 if the wrong topic is chosen. With great power come great responsibility.........
So what's new, hush? Lol
I just wanted to post book reviews related to the industry and all that.
Not into the personal wars or sledging
Hi Megan, and thanks for question.
we have given this some thought, and the short answer is no.
We see AuXXXR as being a review focused site, and are happy with our position as being the strongest and busiest forum in this area.
As you say, other sites offer blogs, though on the whole I don't see them being used much, so us replicating that achieves little, in our opinion.
However, we are interested in what all our members have to say, including the female members. It is our belief is that most of what you suggest you might want to post could already be posted in the appropriate forum.
Australian XXX Reviews, the No1 forum for the latest reviews on escorts, brothels, sex and massage parlours in Australia, including Sydney NSW.
Unfortunately, can't argue with this.
ROFL
Absolutely... rightly so and well-deserved.
As long as it doesn't end up in a discussion take-over. This member suggests a bit less thread-hijacking, re-inforcing the review focus. I love you Megan as much as the next punter but babe, sometimes you're just so OTT with your opinions to the extent that it just kills discussion. It's OK on some industry or WL-centric discussion but on punter-based issues, i.e. punters wanting a punter view, an opinionated WL rant just ends up in a flame-out. Believe it or not, just occasionally an old punting phart old enough to be your parent might have a slightly more balanced or experienced view. Always, IMHO... and in the very best of punting spirit...![]()
Smile... it’s the second best thing you can do with your lips...
Old enough to be my dad or granddad eh? Fess up
One point I disagree on is use of Blogs. Pp gets loads of use out of them by punters and WL alike.
It doesn't take away from the site as strong review site at all. As Hard said some topics would be better off in blogs
It's not a secret private lady advertisers have gone down so much you have to collapse into parlour advertisers
Even if you're a review site discussions get people logging in more and more log in is eventually more advertising revenue and even more reviews. If people feel a community there is more invested to give back.
You've often asked me how you can help this area and the truth is if a guy is looking for a private more then an hour he is going to be interested less in reviews and more in the personality of the working lady. If I am going to see a client for a few hours or more off the forums blogs and post play a good part in me deciding if I want that appointment
as hard says can move a lot of the banter off the main forum making moderation more streamlined
Too many wankers and bad time wasters in Sydney for incalls for me to justify spending thousands on setting up an incall space to the standard Id want it. The idea of being constantly on call is not my cup of tea. Plus now I'm private one client a day is more then enough for meafter a tour I have to have a week off to recover. to think I've done 11 clients in one day once upon a time. If anyone (ie girl) had a room to rent a couple of days a week I'd consider it
I will moderate the blogs
I will be good at it!

I have looked at the blog usage on PP. Some figures (sorry, I cannot suppress my inner nerd...):
Total Blogs: 198 - but the majority have no entries.
Blogs with 10 or more entries: 25. 21 of these are punters reliving old memories.
Blogs with 10 or more comments: 28. Here the pattern is a bit different. 15 of these 28 are blogs of the Ladies. Indeed the 8 most commented upon blogs are by Ladies.
I cannot sort the blogs by the number of views, but it does seem that the Ladies' blogs are amongst the more frequently viewed blogs.
So what does this mean???
I don't know.
I have not read all the content of the blogs - occasionally, if something in the "new entries" window piques my interest, I read it. Sometimes that gives an insight into the character (or mind) of the author ...
Anyhow ... That is sort of the usage of the blogs over there. As always, the Admin team here are the final arbiters of how this site is run ... Seems to be working well at present.
Previously oldandbald on FIA. Now also posting as oldandbald on Punter Planet
I can fully understand this! Unfortunately, the world is pretty full of morons...!
Maybe we should be concerned by this, LOL
Self praise is no recommendation
How could we do anything else...?
As always EG, never cease to be impressed by your capacity for research
Given the relative lack of response to the OP title and your exploratory figures, I reckon it demonstrates pretty clearly that blogs are - or have been - a passing phase, even a 'seven day wonder'. Just like the mindless status updating on facebook or myspace. I'm old enough to remember the CB radio craze of the late 70s. It lasted a few years before burning itself out as the brainless passtime of a population with too much time and lack of constructive endeavour. A bit like forums, really...![]()

With blogs there is a time and place for it.. Just depends upon the content and it requires almost a full time dedication to keep it current and interesting.. Food blogs are a very good example.. The 'next' new hip restaurant or hotspot..
Blogs rely very much upon traffic.. No traffic then it just dies..
A good idea and medium of communication, but unfortunately does not fit into the current forums profile and demographics.. Maybe sometime in the future with a dedicated complementary area for banter and musing..
AB

I don't think they are a passing phase - they are only yesterday when people use them for personal agendas or shitfights. It seems they are good enough on AXXXR for paid advertisers, why not for punters and everyone else?
Our resident nerds says blogs are most used for punters reliving punts too old for the current forum - now if that isn't punter info for punters ethos I don't know what is![]()
It so does not take 24 hour devotion to moderate and keep blogs up to date. Hell I've been known to read blogs that are three years old and these blogs influence which sites I use for make up and fashion etc It is also widely known in marketing and political circles that blogs have more influence then twitter and facebook. AXXXR has been doing twitter for ages, not sure about Facebook.
Think mos people know it's not the number of hits on any thing on the internet, it is who reads them and how long is spent on your little piece of real estate.
Another major recession is blowing in - better to optimize your competitiveness now ! What goes first? Discretionary spending on internet advertising and for punters, discretionary services like sex.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts Megan, but the moderating team has already made the decision (as already communicated by Admin & AB) not to proceed with opening up the blogs to all and sundry. Further debate or discussion will not change this decision.
Cheers,
BAB

Megan... let it go. If you are taking clients as little as you say - for your stated reasons - it's pretty obvious you need another interest to fill your time. You claim to be an educated woman. Writing and running a blog is a dead end - certainly here, at the very least. Full stop. Get a life, babe.
Just a little DOA from your old "other dad, grandad, great grandad" or however else you think of one of your online nemeses...![]()
