Ha - at least you received a predictable answer from Auntie. I asked at my other favorite shop if there was any info on the famous Joanne - the response was completely dismissive for what must have once been one of the top girls in the shop .... "I have no idea".Originally Posted by Chillisause

In fairness one must acknowledge that these girls are not formally employed, they don't fill in a form that HR approves and where they are bound to be back on duty at a certain date. So more often than not they will say they are going home for say 4 weeks, but they change their plans for whatever reason, and they will only call the shop again once they are back in Sydney, be it 4 weeks later, 4 months later or 4 years later, if they ever return!
So the shop works with what is available and when the returnee phones again, they slot her back in. They don't send ten messages to China every week to try and keep tabs on when who is returning.
